180fusion and Google recently came together for a co-hosted webinar, Grow your Holiday Sales with Google. 180fusion’s Director of Sales, Brad Keys, and Google’s Jessie Hochhalter, teamed up to share insights and best practices to help business owners and marketers optimize their search engine marketing strategies this holiday season.

64% of in-store purchases in the US are influenced by digital, making it more important than ever for businesses to maximize their market presence and meet shoppers at the right moments this holiday season. Jessie Hochhalter, an AdWords Expert at Google, discussed with attendees the need for business owners to provide a delightful experience for holiday shoppers by providing easy to find product details and reviews, easy checkout, and a smooth and frictionless mobile experience.

Google’s data once again backed up the importance of mobile with 82% of smartphone users saying that they consult their phones on purchases they’re about to make, even while in store.

“Not only are people in larger numbers conducting local searches and doing this research, but 76% of people who conducted local searches on their smartphone actually went in to visit a physical store within 24 hours,” said Jessie Hochhalter, Sales Strategy & Enablement at Google.
